The purpose of this blog is to give all who are interested a look into what it is that I will be doing in Jamaica for the next few months. Wink wink at my concerned family members. Love you guys.
Thanks to all who have supported me and continue to support me as I embark on this journey that is life abroad-and on my own, well, OUR own (this is Negasi, my son's, blog too.)

Country Livin' Part II
I just liked this butterfly. We kicked it for a while. I was surprised to still see her there each time I came onto the porch.
These pictures really capture a sentiment of escape and reprieve. Escape from the loud business of the city and reprieve from all of the city's distractions. I bet the days seemed extremely long, but in an enlightening way. You don't realize how often you check time when you are somewhere you are constantly waiting for the next event -- lunch at work, the end of class, next stop on the train, arrival of the bus, the benediction at church, etc.
